Now that the latest iPhones support Qi wireless charging, Apple wants you to use it everywhere you use your phone. This is great news since there are dozens of wireless charging mats that are already compatible with the iPhone 8 and X.  That means you could easily pick up a mat that’ll work with your new iPhone 8 right out of the box. Of course, you could also wait until next year and pick up Apple’s futuristic, multi-device AirPower charging mat but who wants to wait? Even though USB-C is quickly becoming the universal port, Apple’s stuck with Lightning for another year. If you have a bunch of Lightning cables and accessories, then you’re all set.
